Endpoint Tab
Use this tab to specify which CA Access Control system you want to register. After you register the endpoint, you can use this tab to change the user ID and password of the administrator.
The fields in this tab are listed below:
- Endpoint

- Specifies the name of the CA Access Control endpoint that appears in the client interfaces. This name does not need to be the same name as the CA Access Control endpoint. It should be a name that is easily recognized by administrators.
- For example, a CA Access Control system named "myhost.company.com" is not an easy name to remember. To make the machine's name more recognizable, give it the name of "Myhost." Commas and semi-colons are not allowed.
- This is a required field.
- Description

Specifies a short description of this CA Access Control Endpoint. This field can be changed after the endpoint is registered.
- Database/Host Name

- Specifies the name of the CA Access Control Server.
- This is a required field.
- User ID
-
- Specifies the user ID of a CA Access Control account with full rights. This user ID is necessary to register the server as an endpoint in CA Identity Manager. The user ID is saved for any future registrations you need to perform.
- This is a required field.
- Password
-
- Specifies the name of the domain where the account template exists.
- Confirm Password

- Default Account Template

Specifies the default account template of the endpoint. The default account template is used to create new accounts on the endpoint.
Click the Browse button to search for all the account templates defined for CA Access Control endpoints. For new endpoints, all account templates are available since the endpoint type is unknown.
